I recently read about the #100dayproject and thought it was a great idea.
What Is the 100-Day Project? It’s a celebration of process that encourages everyone to participate in 100 days of making. The great surrender is the process; showing up day after day is the goal. For the100-Day Project, it’s not about fetishizing finished products—it’s about the process.
Unfortunately, I am late to the party as it began on April 6 and will end on July 18. But it is a great idea and no reason I can’t start now and continue will my own 100 days. One of the themes I saw was color and using Pantone’s Color of the Day, the person who used color went out and found things that matched the color of the day. I am not that ambitious so I decided to draw using the color of the day.
The other motivation behind drawing using the color of the day is to use my new toy a adonit Jot Touch Stylus. So far I love it, the tip is narrow to write like a pen and the control is drawing programs is amazing.
So with that as an introduction let me start with yesterday’s color of the day:
and here is what I created using Lettuce Green as the theme, the one thing I seem to be able to master is the leaf shape, so don’t be surprised if you see a lot of leaves.
